The cards have a panel that you have to scratch to show the activation code that is entered in the Wii Shop Channel to redeem the Nintendo Points for Wii Points.
Wii Points can be redeemed on the Wii Shop Channel to purchase online, for example, downloadable games for the virtual console or WiiWare titles.
